This beautiful custom home in Phoenix, Arizona, was ready for a primary closet that was as luxurious and thoughtfully designed as the rest of the home. Starting with a blank slate gave the homeowners the opportunity to create a completely customized closet designed around the way they live, dress, and organize.
The vision included a statement closet peninsula, dedicated His and Her closet areas, a built-in vanity, antique mirrored cabinetry, purse and shoe storage, built-in hampers, and plenty of beautifully organized hanging and drawer space.
The goal was to maximize every inch of the primary closet while creating a space that felt luxurious, organized, cohesive, beautiful, and intentional.
Through thoughtful space planning, custom cabinetry, premium finishes, and carefully selected closet accessories, Space Solutions transformed the blank space into a sophisticated and highly functional primary closet designed specifically for the homeowners.
The homeowners wanted more than basic closet storage. They envisioned a luxury custom closet in Phoenix that would maximize storage while incorporating beautiful cabinetry, specialized accessories, and elevated finishes.
Their wish list included separate His and Her storage zones, a large center peninsula, dedicated shoe and purse storage, a vanity, built-in hampers, and a combination of open and enclosed cabinetry.
Most importantly, they wanted the closet to feel like a beautiful extension of their home—not simply a place to store clothing.
Statement Peninsula
A large custom peninsula was designed to anchor the closet and provide additional drawer storage and surface space while creating a natural division between the two sides of the room.
His & Her Custom Closet Zones
Separate storage areas were designed on opposite sides of the primary closet, giving each homeowner dedicated space tailored to their individual needs.
Slim Shaker Cabinetry
¾” slim shaker-style doors and drawer fronts added a sophisticated furniture-like appearance while providing concealed storage throughout the closet.
Antique Mirrored Cabinetry
Antique mirrored glass doors added an elegant, luxurious element while creating beautiful display storage for clothing and handbags and helping protect them from dust.
Specialized Closet Accessories
Built-in hampers, shoe storage, purse storage, hooks, drawers, and a custom vanity were incorporated throughout the design to maximize organization and functionality.
Elevated Finishes
Kiss Curl-colored cabinetry, champagne bronze hardware, flat crown molding, and coordinating closet accessories completed the sophisticated look.
From the initial design consultation through final installation, the entire project was completed in approximately six weeks.
Our design team worked closely with the homeowners to refine the layout, select finishes and accessories, and carefully plan the cabinetry around the dimensions and functionality of the space.
The custom closet peninsula was one of the biggest design considerations for this project.
The homeowners wanted the peninsula to be as large as possible without compromising the functionality of the rest of the closet. The design team carefully considered the peninsula’s dimensions, door and drawer widths, blind corners, and surrounding walkways to create a layout that felt spacious and balanced.
Because the peninsula became the focal point of the closet, the remainder of the design was planned around it.
Additional considerations included creating space for a full-length mirror, determining the ideal proportions for the slim shaker doors and drawer fronts, and incorporating built-in hampers, shoe storage, hooks, and other specialized accessories without overcrowding the room.
The result was a carefully planned closet where every cabinet, accessory, and finish had a purpose.
